NICE 1920Maine Commemorative Half With Mint-Made Planchet Clip
I believe this coin has seen circulation( when compared to high grade, uncirculated,
Maine Halves).  Wear is even, and there are no distracting marks, etc.
I don’t usually comment to cleaning status( I do NOT clean coins), but,I do believe this coin may have been cleaned some time in it’s past.
The outstanding feature on this coin is the Mint-made planchet clip, clearly shown in the pictures.
Clip diagnostics are there.
The mintage of the 1920 Maine Commemorative
is 50,028, according to one source I looked up.
Planchet clips are rare on US commemorative half dollars, as are all types of errors. This coin is truly a rarely encountered type error coin,especially for this issue.
